In the year 1970 Arnaldo Giambertone
establishes FIEP, the greatest Italian factory for the production of wigs ever existed in Italy. 200 employees, branches in Milan and Rome with a production beyond 1000 wigs per day of which more of 50% exported worldwide.
Starting from the high quality of the raw material to achieve high standard of hair extensions, proceeding with all working phases to the final product. All working steps are the fusion result of technology and tradition, in fact even nowdays the working process of hair is still hand-made, respecting traditional tenique.
In the year 2000 Ubaldo Giambertone junior takes over this family tradition, adding to the century experience, handed on from father to son a remarkable technological evolution.
Starting from the working process of the hair, that is the raw material for the hair extensions production. Ubaldo Giambertone deals personally with the choice of hair, respecting strict criterion and rules that has inherited from a century experience.
Ubaldo Giambertone is the newest generation is a long history of hair and wig manufacturing. His father, Arnaldo, who, in his 80s, is still overseeing the production and quality control of the families' prized line of European Remi hair. Arnaldo's grandfather manufactured hair and wigs in the very same factory in the town of Isola delle Fammine, which is in the region of Sicily.
Isola delle Fammine translates into "Island of the Woman." There is a small island just right off the coast that was once a woman's prison in the 1500's, or so the legend goes. The town was named after the island. The island is a protected nature reserve and people are not allowed to touch the island. You will be put in jail if you do. Italian law.
